Health Meets Software
After walking-on to the Old Dominion Division I basketball team following two ACL tears (first walk-on selected in 10 years), and completing my undergraduate degree in psychology, I began a career in personal training. Simultaneously, I earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition and completed my dietetic internship. Obtaining my degree required completion of a course to build a first rate blog in WordPress (click the Learn More button below), which reignited my interest in learning software development.
After obtaining my Master's, and while working in training and nutrition, I observed an opportunity to better serve my clients and improve their experience by simplifying their health tracking apps. I carried this problem solving mindset into my software development education and career, where the apps designed for users yield a product that's easy to use and navigate, thus delivering value and a healthy experience.
When I'm not building products, I enjoy weight lifting in my garage gym, training in Taekwondo, and sprinting on Sunday mornings with my track club. I consistently practice meditation and journaling as they are central to my overall well-being. But my "ROCKS" are my family and closest friends, who are foundational to keeping me centered.

Patient Preoperative Surgery Checklist
Allows patients to submit their preoperative checkist to their anesthesiologist, further
enhancing patient safety and preventing surgical complications and cancellations. I created
a video showcasing the app as opposed to making the link publicly available.
Enhancing Elderly Lives with Extrahands
The Extrahands website focuses on quality senior care and support, while offering a
variety of comprehensive services tailored to meet the needs of individuals and their quality of
life.
Digital Student Demo
This was a TEAM effort among my staff and I at Digital Seat Media to raise awareness and
support for student mental health, using a secure QR code system to connect those in need of
help.
UI designs created using Photoshop
Showcasing several module designs of various sizes created in photoshop. These designs
were used for sporting and music events and venue promotion apps.
Sports Betting App
This mock betting app allows one to easliy navigate among several sports, teams, games,
etc. with the option of placing multiple bets while watching live game feeds from a mobile
device.
First Portfolio: A different approach
I enjoy "coloring outside the lines" when it comes to creativity, which is why my first portfolio
broke away from the conventional look of most others I researched. I no longer use this as my
primary portfolio website. Sunsetted 10.31.25.
